Noah’s Event Venue Louisville Wedding | Kaila + Missy

I first met Kaila during a Temple University, summer abroad trip to Ghana. As we squeezed into a mini bus to ride over to our campus dorm on the University of Legon, I was enamored by her wit, laughter and beauty. As the week’s drew on during our travels and we consumed an abundance of the BEST jollof rice (Shoutout to my Ghanians!:), I knew that she would have an impact on my life. Not only has she inspired me intellectually throughout my undergraduate years at Temple, but she has been a big  supporter of my photographic dreams from day one. Oh, I have the film scans to prove it! You see before Kaila became my glorious modern Kentucky bride, she couragesouly posed as my model, for required homework I needed to complete for an upcoming photo critique in my film course:) She’s always been a loving, supportive and kind-hearted soul. So, when she contacted me about her spring wedding at Noah’s Event Venue in Louisville, I knew I had to be their to document every moment!

I knew that when Kaila met Missy, it was going to be a love story you could depict in an epic romantic movie.  And just as I imagined it, the two of them shared the most romantic wedding proposal in Florence, Italy last May. Originally, Kaila and Missy planned to head to Venice on a train scheduled for a morning ride, but they missed their boarding time (que the dramatic cinema instrumentals!) . I’m sure Kaila was a tad bit bummed, but in true Kaila fashion she went on with plans to make the most of their final night in Florence.  Little did she know that Missy had plans to change the course of their loves with one question. On bended knee, Missy asked Kaila to be her wife in one of the most romantic cities in the world.

Kaila and Missy, your love is incredible and inspiring! I hope you continue to touch the hearts of others with your love and grace. I appreciate the honor you’ve given me in documenting your day.  Much love to you both as you gear up for your honeymoon…. XOXO, Ann.

The couple prepared at Noah’s Event Venue in Louisville, Kentucky with plenty of sparkly details. My favorite bridal details were Kaila’s Betsy Johnson wedding flats. Her darling and comfy style are every bride’s wish on a wedding day.
Missy is a boss at tying bow ties!  She says they have more character when you actually hand tie them and I agree.Besties are for getting you into your wedding gown…
I love having my couples take a few moments to relax and reflect before going into the ceremony.Having a few friend’s to hang out before the vows is another way to have fun, if you enjoy a good laugh:)
Your girls get to love on you so much through out the day…How cute are these two sharing a moment in their vintage Royals Royce, against the sage interior…
Meet the world’s cutest flower girl, say cheeeseeee…
The brick and stone entry way of Noah’s Event Venue provided exquisite lighting for bridal party portraits.
Missy’s magenta tuxedo jacket was the perfect pop of color to compliment the bride’s flower bouquet and bridesmaids.
In the ballroom, Kaila and Missy said their vows under a beautiful white canopy of lights…Simply gorgeous…
Two become one, let’s have cake!Love in song…I had an amazing time working with the great team of vendors that brought this wedding to life…
