I’m still oooing and awwing from this minimalist family newborn session I photographed in the studio recently. The sweet little one in front of my lens is the son of one my fave nursing school friends, Natalie!
I keep in touch with a few girls that went through the ‘hazing process’ of becoming a compassionate nurse in our local community with me. 😂I’m just kidding we didn’t get hazed, but it was definitely a process that created a special bond among many of us. I specifically remember Natalie as having a warm, friendly spirit and I loved getting to know her over Shrimp Kale Ceaser salads from Sweetgreens. It was our go to during lunch on weekend clinical rounds in the city.
So from navy scrubs to new babies between the two of us, I was over the moon when Natalie asked me to photograph her family to celebrate her baby boy. We originally planned to do a couple’s maternity session, but baby Julian had other plans and surprised us all with an early introduction. Needless to say we flipped what would have been her maternity portraits into a newborn family session instead!
Speaking of which, baby Julian was so much fun to get to know. I could have cuddled him all day! Check out our neutral colored minimalist family newborn session to witness all of the cuteness for yourself!
Baby Julian was a little angel and slept peacefully through the majority of our 2.5 hour session. I’m not gonna lie. When he showed up bright eyed and curious of his new digs, I thought the session would need more time, but Natalie and her hubby Gabriel followed my newborn session tips to a T! Julian took a bottle of milk to top off his morning feeding and that put him right to sleep for our session. 🤗
Okay, no more talking (or would that be typing?) Let’s get to the rest of the photos!
