Last week my family went on a road trip to shoot a Lake Elkhorn engagement session in Maryland! And, I totally bribed them with a Starbucks pit stop and Maryland blue crabs to end the day!
All in all, it was a fun trek to Maryland to meet up with Chinelle and Jabari for their outdoor portraits this fall.
I couldn’t wait to visit the park Chinelle I chatted about before meeting for their engagement session. One thing I always encourage my clients to do is to think of activities that you truly enjoy doing together. And, walks in the park are big on the list of things Chinelle and Jabari enjoy doing together as a couple.
So, it’s no surprise that they chose Lake Elkhorn park for their session. The lake was gorgeous and lined with beautiful trees along it’s trails. And the light peeking through gave a very romantic and mellow vibe to their engagement session.
We chose to do three looks so that we could take advantage of the different backdrops nature beautifully created for us to enjoy! You’ll have scroll all the way through this post to see how we ended the session with my favorite to end a session. 🙂
I loved the jewel and soft tones that Chinelle and Jabari started the session of in for our walk along the trails. Then, we switched Chinelle into a flowy blue dress for photos down by Lake Elkhorn.
These two are real naturals in front of the camera. Their good looks, fabulous outfit choices, a sublime location and their genuine love for each other made this photo shoot a truly fun experience to photograph!
Even better that they chose to incorporate their love for jogging at Lake Elkhorn into their engagement session! And I’m all for a Nike inspired fitness session; I loooooveee their sneakers! So it was love at first site for me, Lol!
