I can always count on Peyton and his awesome mom, whom we share as besties:), to be down for a play date in the city. It turns out even better when my camera joins the party. A few weeks ago, Dylan and I made a mad dash to have dinner in the Fishtown area with our friends. As we walked around deciding on where to dine, I scoped out the scene and was totally blown away by the little nooks and gems we found along the way. Ivy leaves, classic architecture and rustic doors served as the perfect backdrops for some impromptu portraits. I hope Peyton enjoys these updates to his modeling portfolio.
Down a little alley a block away from Frankford avenue, a wall of perfectly formed ivy leaves greeted us with tons of pretty greenery. No way we were walking away from this spot for our first photo stop!
When I search for locations, I always look for a backdrop that can lend a minimalist feel and look. This white brick backdrop is right on Frankford Avenue across from the La Colombe Restaurant/Cafe. If you ever visit the area, you can not leave without stopping for a bite and a taste of the libations. They brew their own coffee and spirits.
Who knew that Fishtown had a rustic side! A little further down the road, we found this sweet spot. I think Peyton shares my excitement about this door:)
Another cool door across from a local thrift shop. Peyton’s mom stopped in to source some wares for her wedding and events biz, so we hung out on the steps for a few.
You can’t visit an urban setting without capturing a bit of the construction and Philly mural scenery. I seriously can’t wait to see where our next walk takes us.
