If you follow me on social media, then you know I recently photographed a beautiful holiday family session at the Merchant Exchange Building in downtown Philly. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I truly have the best clients ever! This family was no exception, either.
With the mild weather outside, everyone was down with nixing their coats for our portrait session. And that’s just their personality! Just as casual and chill as their denim outfits.
We met at the Merchant Exchange building two hours before sunset, so we could capture their session during the softest and prettiest light of the day. I loved shooting at this olde city Philadelphia landmark, because it’s perfect for the family that wants a casual session with a bit of style and subtle glam in their city portrait session.
For our shoot, the Nicholson’s brought a few props for their family session. I was able to work in the props and the outfits they chose, which really made for some amazing photos. My favorite prop featured in this photography blog post is the white wooden sign that spells out ‘family’ in metal detail.
It truly was an amazing holiday photography session. And if any of you are considering a family session or are prepping for an upcoming session, check out our session photos below.
Thanks Tia for getting the family together for a fun session. I cant wait to see your new family portraits hanging on the walls of your home!
