Ultimate Date Night | Olde City Portrait Session

Date nights are so fun and are a wonderful distraction from our daily routines! So this summer, weekly date nights are at the top of my bucket list. Now weekly, was a bit ambitious for my crazy schedule filled with portrait sessions and weddings. But that doesn’t mean I haven’t made it a priority for my husband and I to catch up with each other; unplugging and spending quality time doing something fun together!

To be realistic with myself, I’ve gone back and revamped my list; rather than cross it off as impossible. What’s really worked for us, is planning out the date night in advance, marking it off on our calendars and committing to it 100%.  And, commitment is a big one for me, because I’ve been notorious for canceling our dates and suggesting netflix and pizza instead. And, I’m talking about the comfy sweat pants and hair in a messy bun kind of night. So rewind to a few weeks ago, chatting with my creative friends and fellow entrepreneurs, I realized that I’m not the only one guilty of this!

We don’t make enough time to re-energize and hang out with the ones that give us incredible joy. So on a whim, I thought why not give away a date night session to encourage folks to step away from work, start saying yes to rest, and connect with their significant other.  My friends at Erica Nikole Makeup and Event Loft PA were an absolute go from the start. We treated one couple to makeup, flowers, ice cream at a vintage parlor, dinner in the city, and portraits to remember it all.

Thanks Emily + Greg for being so wonderful! We had a great time with you both and we hope you enjoyed your date night experience!
